i think it may be a tad over dramatic. They may not have even noticed that that much time had passed (they were watching a movie after all).

the important thing is they asked you if you were ok when you returned. I'm sure that they didn't know that you wanted them to look for you or express concern. It was just miscommunication.

But if you are really worried, talk to them about it. If they are good friends, they will take it ok. Just say, you know, were you ever going to come look for me or anything? Put it jokingly, and see what they say because they probably didn't even realize that much time had gone by
