The problem with using Tums, Rolaids, Mylanta etc is that it destroys all acid.
In fact, it may compound the problem making it worse.
You NEED some balance. Our bodies are geared to have digestive enzymes in the stomach.
One easy test to see if your remedy is causing a problem is when you are feeling indigestion, take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, if it calms your stomach, then you don't have enough acid!
Part of the problem is that the esophagus regulates this ...if it doesn't, then the stomach problem moves up the pipe, so to speak. The digestive enzymes that our stomachs have normally, regulate the esophagus. If the enzymes aren't in balance, then the esophagus doesn't work correctly either.
My MD is a homeopathic doctor also... and backs up what the medical doctors (that run the real age site) say... it's medical knowledge. I hope this will help you. (I'm not a medical doctor, nor do I play one on TV.)
