Mmmm marmite yummy!
UK bacon is often injected with water or milk to make each pack identical weight, hence the milky stuff that comes out when you cook it and the lack of crisping and flavour. Lidle or Aldi are the best i found for crisping up. i tend to use black forest ham or parma ham (a bit more expensive) as it crisps really well very quickly and has great flavour. As i am niot feeding a family one pack is enough for three meals so not too bad a price for the difference in quality.
