I don't know why I never thought of it before, but I didn't. Your hamburgers sound good - does the egg get cooked if you eat burgers rare? I would eat raw egg, but I know others who would not if they could tell. The bacon I am trying is not cooked other than my smoking until I grill it. I will report back. I just never thought of grinding bacon/pork belly. I do grind other pork to make sausage so this was simply a failure of imagination on my part.
I usually eat bacon limp and not crispy at all (which is always a bit of a thing for each of my past partners to deal with - that first breakfast or two - but I win them over and all of them that I am in touch with now eat their bacon like I do = and like the british).
