meds are not all bad------------no more smallpox, diabetics can live much healthier and longer, some cancers are cured...the mind and body are not two different entities. ----if you can let go and accept it for a time (say six months, a year) and do other work you will begin to feel stronger.

I agree with this 100%. I couldn't have said it better.
If the meds help you, then it isn't weakness to use them. Think of them as a tool to get you through this hard time, and worry about what the next step will be wtih them later. Hang in there, CG!
