I have gone through my share of psych Evals too. The first one was back in 1989 and since then have gone through many of them. its not as scarey to me now but back when I got the first one part of the anxiety was that I had no idea what was involved with doing one not to mention having a foot long label stuck on me. but over time I learned the label is just there so that I get the right treatment plans for my problems. it might help a little bit knowing the process of the evaluation so here is a link to my blog that will tell you what a psych eval is and some of the tests and things you will be asked to do with a psychiatrist. With exception to the tests specifically for DID that I went though You may be asked to do some or all of what is in this entry and possibly some that I have not listed on here depending on the types of tests that are specific to what they are looking for and what new tests have come out since my last evaluation.

Please note that everything in this blog are - MY - experiences, - MY - therapy program and - MY - research. if you have a different experience that is ok.

There may be triggering material in my blog depending on the readers own personal trigger reactions

Also since no one is forced to open the link and continue reading please note by clicking on the link the reader is accepting responsibility for their own well being and trigger reactions should they continue to read beyond these disclaimers and trigger warnings.

Hang in there.
