Is it his first time being married? When I was getting married to my current wife (first marriage), I was excited and wanted to help, but felt that I knew very little about organizing weddings. It mostly ended up being my wife, her dad, and my mom and sisters who did most of the organizing, while I took care of the honeymoon plans. Do you get the sense he is measurably incapable at handling certain tasks, or just unsure of himself when it comes to organizing a wedding? Does he have the personality to take ownership and control of organizing things? I do have that personality, but I did feel somewhat unsure of myself about organizing a wedding, so I stuck to organizing plane flights, hotel bookings, and sight-seeings etc. while my family fortunately was able to help organize everything else. I absolutely love the feeling of working together on something with my wife, but with my strengths lying elsewhere, and my family happy to step in, I modestly bowed out.
