It must be hard for you when your husband is gone. I seem to do the same thing when my mate is gone.. I don't forget to self-care.... it just seems when he is gone that I lack the motivation. It is somehow easier when he is here with me.

I find that when I do force myself as a discipline to do self care, that I feel so much better. Yesterday I forced myself to make an effort because I had to go into town and do errands. Once I got moving it wasn't so bad and I actually felt "normal" when I was interacting with people.

Maybe it would help to have a reward system for yourself for even doing these simple things. For example: sitting down to read a chapter in a book after you brush your teeth or wash your hair. I have had to bribe myself like that.

I hope it gets easier for you. Making lists is a good idea idea, maybe keep the list somewhere that you will see it a lot. I keep lists in the kitchen near where I make my coffee.
