It seems like it would feel safer if T provided at least some guidelines. "Anything" is so broad as to be overwhelming, I'd imagine. Has your T given you any suggestions for what to talk about?

Although, what you said about wishing T would rant back at you makes me think that you're pretty accustomed to being limited in terms of what is "acceptable " to present to others.

So I guess what I'm saying is that there are at least two ways to look at it. If you've been "censored" in the past for what you've tried to bring to others, it might be helpful to push yourself a little and trust that when T means you can talk about anything, you really can talk about anything.

On the other hand, if being "censored" hasn't been a problem for you, asking T for help with narrowing down the field of topics might be more effective.
