Don't permit yourself to look at images that cause distress or that are negative which can feed depression. Don't listen to depressing music or read or concern yourself with negative
writing. Turn off the t.v. the moment you get an image or an analysis that is negative or distressing to your mind. If that doesn't help very much, picture a broom in your brain just sweeping everything out, even in the remote corners leaving no dust (negativism) anywhere in the site until you feel free and clean inside.
Negativism is a loading for depression.
By late afternoon if the negative images try to seep back into your brain, just stop
and sit down. Read articles in little meditative books that are uplifting and are positive in thought. Once you feel you have conquered the negative things for that one day, then relax.
Sleep well that night. It is a daily effort to keep negativism away from that portion of
the brain that feeds on it.
It might help you if you try "the lemon thing" I talk about so much; it works for some of us.
Hoping you get better feeling tone through trying some different things. Suggesting
that you "kick the depression in the face" is a good idea.
