My hubby has a friend at work who's wife( she is in her mid 30's) has just been diagnosed with inoperable cervical cancer. She is taking radiation 5 times a week and chemo once a week. She is unable to work at this time as she is so sick. they ahve no health insurance because to be honest the price is outragous! 177.00 a week for employee and family. She works for a daycare and they do not offer health insurance. they have two kids; a boy-9 and a girl 8. We did a candle fundraiser for them to help with what we can.
The good news is that her tumor is shrinking, slowly but it is going down.
I was listening to the radio this morning and they were talking to a couple of guys about an organization called The Goodfellows, that help families in need around Christmas time. I have searched the internet and I can not find anything to help me locate a local chapter. I have called the radio station repeatedly and have received no answer. I would really like to nominate this family to receive some help this Christmas. This has got to be a hard time for them and I just want the kids to have a good Christmas! Does anyone have any suggestions or any info on how to contact this organization or any other that can help this family out?
if so, i would love to hear from you! Thanks
