I've done something similar: I've got a rather complicated process which must be carried out, and would take a while, so I'd have loads of time to change my mind.

I also decided that I can't confirm that the world isn't worth my time until I've seen all of it. Which is a rather impossible task! (although I am trying to see as much of it as I can!)
