I pay attention to how I am feeling example - when I am watching tv I am asking myself how the chair feels under me, how the blanket feels that I have it wrapped around me, if the show I am watching is one that I am interested in or is my mind wandering to other things while my eyes are watching, did this character on tv just say something that I liked, disliked, made me upset, am I warm and comfortable or am I feeling cold, nervious, do my legs feel like I need to get up and walk around for a bit, am I hungry, do I need to get something to drink now,

Basically I have trained myself to pay attention to and stimulate all my senses - hearing, taste, smell, touch, sight and pay attention to how what I am experiencing though those 5 senses is making me feel.

I know that there is a foot long word for what I am doing but SKR and I called it (and I still do call it) awareness therapy - reconnecting with my 5 senses and emotions instead of dissociating away from my problems and situations. Its the basic therapy program that I am on for my having DID.
