Using https sometimes helps. I second the cache suggestion although that has never made a difference for me. Try looking for a good YouTube addon for your browser. Use lower quality settings, until it works properly. Also second updating Flash. If it's videos you often access, just use a YouTube downloader; as far as I know, this is legal, but feel free to Google that.
