We had a speaker tonight at our support group, running a program that will also cover the next two weeks... it is about creating a Wellness/Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) for yourself.
I really liked it. A lot was stuff I already do, but this formalizes it and I think I will benefit from it.
It involves making lists of things that make you feel better, lists of triggers and actions you can take to deal with them, lists of warning signs so you can tell when you might be slipping into a depression and actions you can take to help... etc.
At the sessions they encourage the group to brainstorm for ideas, for example lists of things that make you feel better. Then you can go and work on your own list tailor made for yourself.
I'm looking forward to the next two weeks there.
