I wouldn't like it if any of my doctors advertised like that either! People in helping professionals are supposed to provide a service, that of helping. It's not like a grocery store. Yes, money is involved but the 'helping" should come first. When I go to my doctor with a pain, I don't want a list of what everything costs first. I want him to make the pain go away!! I don't want my T to tell me what I'm "buying" from her. I want her to help me, and not emphasize that I'm buying anything from her. It's just poor terminology! Yes, I'm paying her, but I'm not "buying" a product though you could say I'm buying a service.
Now, I think insurance salesman should use the word "buy". They tell us what we "need", but at least in my case, he really wants to sell us something, and take money we don't want him to have!
ETA: I don't mean life, health, or home, fire insurance. I'm talking about insurance companies who are into investments now!
