I've done this too!!! Mine were Italian and Polish though. Actually got decent at Italian but Polish was pretty impossible for me.

I also did a costume! Mine was for a set of Harry Potter robs. Heh... that I wore to a midnight release... a book release. Slytherin... naturally. But I also made myself and all my friends our Renaissance Fairs costumes too one year.
