Hi darkeyes. My dad was also in WWII as well as the Korean War. My husband was in the National Guard and my brother served in the Army. My oldest son was in the Navy and did two tours in the Persian Gulf.

I definitely believe in honoring all who have served our country. We went to a special concert in honor of the Veterans. It was wonderful. They had all those in various branches of service stand to be applauded. I think my husband was proud to be there. We'll probably make this an annual event from now on.

The music was all patriotic by our MSU bands. They had the ROTC members present the colors and also had a prayer for veterans who were killed in action as well as a great speaker. The whole event was free to the public.
