i've been doing acupuncture 1 - 2 times a week for 5 or 6? weeks now. i went with my main wish for treatment help w/ the depression & anxiety, and then would also love to secondarily work on poor circulation, limbs falling asleep, and some painful body parts.
the place i go is a school of acupuncture that has a clinic. it's a wonderful place, they take their time with you & really get to know you and talk with you and learn what's going on every time. so i really trust them.
i can't say i've felt any "improvement" in the depression from the acupuncture - or from anything else for that matter (no improvement at all) but i really like going there - so for me that a plus - it's the only thing in life i like right now these 1 - 2 hrs a week. and i know that it's good for me.
also, they've explained to me that much like medications or any other sort of treatment, it's a program of treatment.
they did cupping on me for the first time last week and i suddenly had all this energy, it felt like something had been lifted / released, and it was a wonderful feeling.
oh, and my problem with my limbs falling asleep HAS improved! so that's good. they also do chinese herbs here, and i started taking the herbs to help blood building as well as going for the acupuncture.
