There is a sense of betrayal, the realization that for a rather long period of time he was engaging in something he claimed to be against. The 'over' reaction is part of BPD and it just sucks and I wish I could offer you better words than what I just did.. but that's all I've got. (hugs)
I guess I just so deeply hoped it was PTSD and not BPD (something's Dr's and therapists have argued over) but this flare up that has lasted off and on for six months now is just making me feel like its BPD and I am going to push everyone away forever and always be alone. Thanks for the hugs, I appreciate it.
