Welcome to the forums
First question, has this person been to a mental health professional for a true, valid evaluation and diagnose?
I ask because all too often people read about many disorders and readily make their own opinions/diagnosis of someone according to descriptions found in books and literature, and unfortunately label someone, as being such, the best and only way to come to a diagnosis is to have a pdoc and or a psychologist do an evaluation and then goe from there.
So often personality indifferances (excuse sp) can falsely label someone with a disorder that may not be proper, so again, it is best to have a professional with experience make the diagnosis (sp?).
I know from experience, and all the psych courses and books, it is unfair to make the determination about someone's personality or mental disorder(s) without seeking professional help from a person specializing in the mental health area.
I do wish you luck with this, it is a rough road but it will get smoother after the bumps have been gone over.

Sincerely,
DE
