I agree with this completely. I think most things that we experience as mental illness are fully present in the non-mentally ill. The difference is we experience them at 10x or 100x the rate of those without.
And yeah, people forget what they are going to say. But, the feeling that the thought was litterally removed from your brain and it happens on a regular basis, that's a sign something is going on. This happens to me like 10+ times every day.
