I thought she might be the one who is upset by the revelation that we have DID or she might be the one who is the same age as the body. I don't know. So if (I an "alter") didn't talk to my t, who would?"

All my alters had their own jobs purposes, reasons for being.....what that means is that each time I became triggered/dissociated (some people call this switching) which ever alter dealt with that trigger was the one that took control...for example it was sunnys job, purpose reason for being to be cheerful/appear to be cheerful, it was Rainy's job, purpose reason for being to deal with my depressive times, and it was Reds job, purpose reason for being to deal with extreme anger, confrontations...and if you example I could not handle going to therapy then the alters that dealt with navigating getting a taxi would take over, since dealing with a taxi meant a financial situation when it came time to pay the taxi those that dealt with finances took over, then during therapy the ones that dealt with what ever issues were being discussed would take over...
thats basically how my internal system of alters worked. Here having this kind of internal system is called being categorical. (the DSM IV TR called it distinct). All DID people have at least two of these type alters with in their internal system that makes up my whole internal system of alters. some only have two others have more.
talk with your own treatment providers and they can explain how and why your internal system of alters is comprised the way it is.
to answer your question who would talk with your T if you did not..well you would need to work with your T to discover who else with in your internal system of alters deals with therapeutic issues. maybe that alter has already been in control during therapy and you are not aware of them yet. your therapist can tell you more about your internal system of alters that you are part of.
