It's great that you got your T a card based on your observations! How sweet! 
What you said about not listening to T because you're too busy observing, I do this sometimes, too! But I try hard to pay attention to her talking.
I wish I could have a no-talking session so I can concentrate on admiring her kind, beautiful face....
