I'm sprry you are having this problem paying your rent on time. It is tough when you have to rely on other people to pay you (child supprt) so you can pay your own bills.

I will say though, as a former landlord, your rent money may mean the same for your landlord. He probably has a mortgage on your place and he may need your rent to pay it. Also, I'm sure he has expenses with the property such as taxes, repairs, etc. that he has to pay. Unfortunately, you signed a lease (I assume) where you promised to pay your rent by a certain date each month or the landlord can take action. For some reason he decided to take action all of a sudden.

Why don't you talk to your landlord and see if you can renegotiate the due date for your rent. Most people pick the first of the month out of habit. He may be able to accept the 15th or the 30th. See if you can pick a date when you are reasonable sure you will have the money. He will probably agree. It is easier to keep a tenant than it is to find a new one.
