If you truly have $0, you should contact PP for their sliding scale. I was recently trying to get Gardasil shots from them (when I learned that they are used off-label in women over 26 years old), and they denied me, because technically speaking I make some income, and they were not willing to count the fact that I have huge support obligations and am in arrears and basically am very seriously in debt. They did not count that and quoted me $900 for the three shots total - outrageous! I found a NP to give me those shots for $150 per shot, half the price of PP, rolled eyes and PP is supposed to be affordable. I just could not believe their quote.
But since you TRULY have $0, you should call them ASAP. There is no point in your suffering - even if Mirena does not erase your period altogether (and there is a high likelihood that it would), it would make your period much lighter, and the mood issues will become lighter to follow suit. Just make sure to get Mirena, because ParaGuard makes periods heavier - a huge difference, night and day (I wore ParaGuard before I got switched to Mirena as soon as it was FDA-approved in the US - it was approved in Europe earlier).
