don't give up your dreams just edit them and try to get volunteer work based on what you wanted to do.I don't feel that I can look at it as a forever thing.try to be proud that she wants a career even though she said it in a really nasty way. Tell her that you didn't want to stay home either but unfortunately that's all you can handle.
