Hi,
Thanks for all the replies!! I agree that anyone acting like they have an illness is disturbed mentally on some level. I didn't mean to offend by that statement, but I have been dealing with this illness for years and believe I can spot someone who is not showing the symptoms.
Right now I'm in OP and we got a person who was kicked out of rehab and court ordered to attend. This person was charged with a felony and is in drug court yet claims her problem is not addiction but bipolar. She claimed the pdoc called her a pathological liar at her last rehab.
She also claims to be immaculately impregnanted, the patron saint of all angels - who she hangs out with daily, mutters obsenities, gibberish and insults when we are trying to learn and laughs whenever another person is upset or crying. She has called me and the therapist fat, old, and told us we are close to needing dentures.
Yes, she is young and immature with obviously something wrong. I'm just upset because I am paying to be there and get better. I am a recovering addict who doesn't wish to hear someone rant about all their drugging. And it makes me as a bipolar feel invalidated and insulted like she is making fun of the disorder.
Will she get disability? Probably not but she sure is wasting peoples time.
TnT
