ive gotten 3-4 phone calls like this from my insurance but they were real people.
I HATED IT.
let me tell you why.
#1 only one of those times was from a person near me. 50 miles away. all the others were in MA or WA. im in texas cmon.
#2 idk these people. they want me to tell them lots of personal info.
#3 i tried asking 2 about my diagnosis since they were with my insurance and they wouldnt
#4 these people were actually quite mean at one point. because i said i wasnt sure about taking medicine and i had one ended up hanging up on me in the middle of the phone calls on purpose and raise her voice.
#5 i dont think i trust these people because of what i had to tell them and idk where most of these people were actually located. i think they were third-party insurance helpers so to speak. the insurance employed social workers in the country to do these "check in" calls. they insurance would call every time i got out about a week after i got out of the hospital saying if id like to talk to some behavioral specialist over the phone. then a third party employee would call me once a week. i just dont trust these situations. ive never been into therapy that was anything other face to face anyway.
