The converse to that is that perfectionism is paralyzing. It keeps us from trying at all, as opposed to aiming as high as we can and congratulating ourselves for as high as we get before taking another shot to see if we can do even better. So you are better off if you appreciate what you achieve, but don't stop there. Am I making any sense?
