I have Bipolar I disorder with psychotic features. I take a very small amount of celexa (10 mg) since anything higher causes full manic episodes with psychosis. However, in low doses celexa manages my depressive episodes very well. My psychiatrist and psychologist pay really close attention to when my moods start to shift. I have had no weight gain from the celexa. The weight gain came from my atypical antipsychotics. Read the package insert for celexa if you want to know if the medication causes weight gain.
