Did you change your overall monitor resolution?

Right click anywhere on a blank part of the desktop and chose "properties" and then you have a "settings" tab for the display resolution and number of colors that it can display.

That really should have nothing to do with animations in the browser, but with computers "should" and "did" sometimes don't match up
