It sounds as if you might need an attorney more than anything else to protect your
rights under Medicaid. I wouldn't try to manage it all on my own, especially since
you'll be dealing with the U.S. government on that one. You would also be able to
get advice on whether bankruptcy is advisable for you.
Check several lawyers fees; you might be able to find one who would do the work
on a pro bono rate. (It would be less expensive that way.)
