Sigh I know I keep trying to not post too many words here, and consequently can't possibly cover the entire thought

Right Rhapsody, people end up debating the existence of God when they are seeking.

They don't know how to find Him and they debate in their attempts. I know that isn't the way to find Him, so I don't go down that path but lead them on the correct (imo) path.
