Beware of 5htp! It sent me straight manic. It worked for one or 2 nights then I ramped up to the moon. It is a precursor to seretonin and can have anti-depressant effects. If you are not on a mood stabilizer or sensitive AT ALL to antidepressants...beware! If I even look at Prozac or Paxil I go manic, same with 5htp.
