I haven't seen enough of the country to have an educated opinion.
I live out in the boonies and prefer country to city, but I visited San Fransico once and loved it. Don't think I could live there though.
We visited the Badlands in South Dakota very briefly once. I'd love the opportunity to explore them in depth.
