Wow, I've been over much of the united States, Alaska & Canada......& Shez & I grew up in the same So Cal valley.....however for me that was always a place I wanted to leave.

I have traveled all over California......& loved to back pack in the Sierras & skiing in the Sierras in the winter.....& Yosmite was a great place to camp & hike in.....but forget the cities in Calif....I always wanted to escape.

I have traveled into Oregon (too much rain)....Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico & Texas.....too much hot weather in the areas I was in for my liking..too much like the California desert I lived in for too many years.

I absolutely loved winter vacationing in Jackson Hole Wyoming.....& we actually backpacked under the grand Teton one summer after we purchased our time share there......let my parents take the condo for the freebe week & spend it with out daughter while we went out that week backpacking into the Rockies....it was definitely like heaven.

I have seen Yellowstone both in the winter snowmobiling into there & a little in the summer....love it more in the winter as it's sooooo gorgeous with the ghost trees around the steaming ponds. Drove through Montana on my way into Canada on my way to skiing at Banff....the rockies in Canada are even more spacticular. Enjoyed a week trip to Alaska....it was a driving tour around the highway they have & looking at all the back country areas....& Mt McKinley was unclouded the morning we went there.....another gorgeous location.

As a child I spend my summers in Kansas.....I loved it because Topeka was smaller than Los Angeles & didn't feel so overwhelmed there....but all Kansas seemed to be were wheat & corn fields.....there were some interesting places & loved to go fishing in the creeks & rivers with my grandpa....but it didn't really call to me as a place I wanted to live. Enjoyed visiting my dad's family in Nebraska....think that was my first time on a farm & really made me crave that life.

So after it's all said & done, I have settled MYSELF after I left my H.....2100 miles away in KY. It's a gorgeous state...nothing spectacular, just elegant in a simple way with all the fenced horse farms & the historical country side. I finally live on my own little 10 acre farm alone with my 3 eskie dogs.....& it's peaceful & the people are so wonderful & friendly.....I also love the 4 seasons...something I have never experienced living in all in one location before.

I've just driven through many states on my way to locations & have enjoyed the view. I love where I'm living....but for me, my home is where I am no matter where that is. I'm happier here than I have ever been.
