I don't know what to say. I don't think I would broadcast your husband's behaviour but I don't think I'd hide it either. It seems you are giving tacit approval if you cover for him. I think I would tell him that he obviously is ashamed of his drinking or he would not feel the need to hide it but I would talk about it if it came up in conversation. I'm sorry you are put in this position. He is expecting too much from you.
