i found out today the fire brigade are comming back on friday this week to do a full check of the fire system, we are getting new fire doors in our rooms, new locks and even new smoke alarms in the rooms, before then, the old smoke alarms were not wired up to the mains so didnt work, the doors are not fire proofed, and unless you leave the keys in the door you would never get out of the rooms in time, the fire brigade have really put a rocket up the " insert appropriate word" of the landlord, it is going to cost him a fortune,

if all of the above have not been done by friday morning and fully working it will cost him a fortune in fines,

imo it should have been done a long time ago, there is a new resident who has been here for about 2 months now, he has definatly got a better social worker than me has they are the ones that have sorted all this out even though i complained about it to my social worker when i moved in 9 months ago and nothing was done.
