here in New York which is in the USA being able to work even part time disqualifies a person for SSI,

my suggestion would be first contact your social services/human services office where people sign up for things like welfare, food stamps, medical assistance..most people even when they have a part time job are eligible for some sort of help because it goes according to your income and number of people in the household.

then after that case is established contact your social security office. many usa states have different standards /rules/ guide lines...about which income levels and disability standards get what..there is even a "ticket to work" program where some states do allow those who can hold down a part time job to get SSI while they work. there is a limit though on how much money you can make with out it affecting the SSI grant...
