I did not disclose everything I needed/should have disclosed until my current T. She is excellent, and we developed an excellent therapeutic relationship. I started trusting her with more and more. Communication is PARAMOUNT. Your T cannot help you unless you open up and really talk about what is going on with you. Likewise, IMO, a T is most effective when she is able to challenge the client's thoughts and actions and be gently honest about things. This all played a MAJOR role in my healing. To put it bluntly, I believe that communication is everything in therapy.

As a suggestion, you may try to say just what you said to your T...that you find it difficult to communicate with her.
