How do you connect with an emotion that you have shut off? I've shut off anger since I was about 9 years old. I'm working in therapy to deal with it but I don't feel it. Its so distant for good reason in my mind. Trying to drag it up and out made me really anxious a few weeks ago. Dr put me on an antianxiety to help me be able to deal. I feel more calm but still can't grip the emotion called anger. I want to be able to do this. I feel a need to be able to do this. Can anyone help me identify anger? What do I use to catch it and if I start to feel it what should I do? Starting to get confused. Too many thoughts in my head.....
