I'd ask your doc if you could try and raise it slower, that's what helps me.
In studies cymbalta aka duloxetine has been shown to be no more effective than a placebo in doses over 60mg in treating depression. It has however been shown to be beneficial at 120mg in anxiety treatment.

I never noticed myself being any more or less irritable when I was taking it ( at 60mg) to how I was prior to that on citalapram, or what I'm taking now - trazadone.

While your body adapts to dosage increase it can take up to two weeks to feel more normal and for side effects to subside.
