Mario hands down no competition. F*** Sonic. Those games are s*** in comparison. Just compare the more recent games. Sonic Generations vs Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon? Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon I would argue is one of the best games developed for the 3ds thus far with an interesting plot line and stunning graphics. Sonic Generations is just a boring racing game. Plus, 9/10 Mario games are outstanding (the recent Mario parties for wii being the exceptions).

I'm not sure about any personality disorders though. I don't know if Mario's character is ever developed enough. Sonic is definitely narcissistic but I'm not sure he'a NPD.
