I'd find the library; they usually have a whole section on "local" sources of help and magazines, brochures, etc. to go along with it. Too, the reference librarians can be very helpful!

You might also figure out your local hospital's name and look up its website and look at courses and things they offer in their community outreach section. The county recreation center brochure might be helpful too. Look up your county's website and check their links for what catches your interes.
