I would not worry too much about vocabulary/individual words this late in the game; I would learn Latin and Greek "roots" so I could figure out some word meanings (as it is verbal "reasoning") for those I don't know. You have to figure out which word is "bigger" or opposite, etc.

I actually took a class titled "Greek and Latin elements in English" but it was almost twenty years ago. Time for a refresher. Indeed this is the most efficient way to kill as many birds at once as you can.
