I am in the US, but know that those types of "sealed" records are so sticky to get unsealed, even when it's the right and just thing, just because of hard-as-rock legal rules that don't even apply to the situation. My father doesn't know who his real father is because it's sealed away in a department, and my grandmother never told him herself. She's gone now, and he's still fighting to get those papers; it's been years. I hope you can get hold of your records...seems like something like that would be very helpful. Wishing the best for you!
