When I'm already stressed or agitated any kind of distraction from what I'm doing could set me off.

Oh I definitely get that too. Generally if I'm reading or in the middle of writing something I don't like being distracted by any people at all. The cat or dog could distract me and it's not as bad because I guess I don't have to change the way I'm communicating very much.

Thank you for your responses! I got a little chuckle out of some because they were pretty easy to relate too. I also realized how much it can help just to be
aware of what will set me off a bit more when I'm stressed because I can either deal with it better when I see what is happening, or I can realize how stressed I actually am and take a break to de-stress!
