I have self injury scars and scars from a suicide attempt on my inner arm. because of the nature of the injury I am pretty self conscious about them...what will people think of me?... but I, over the years, just tend to ignore them. its really all I can do. nobody ever asks about them but medical professionals. and they don't really care...so I just get over it and get on with my life and pretty much forget they are there.
