my husband is in the same boat with his family half the time, not with the money but lack of support... I almost died 9mths ago, and they were not there supporting him while I was in the hospital it was very emotional for him.
some people are how they were raised, and are selfish.. I have learned that relying on myself is all I got don't let others get you down... smile even when you feel like you cant and laugh when you want to cry.. lifes to short to spend your time thinking about others and how they are.. one day maybe you will be in a good place , and they will be where you are... then they will want help from you! thing is, you got to be the better person... and show them you are happy even with out all the things they have. and I am sorry to hear about your wife.
